What’s UVEC?

UVEC (University of Victoria Engineering Competition) is the official UVic Engineering Undergraduate skill testing competition.  Prove your eng skills and prowess by competing with and against your peers!  There are many competition categories including: Programming, Senior/Junior Design, Debate, Re-engineering, and more!

For more info on UVEC see:

What’s a WEC and CEC?

Great question, very topical and specific; thanks for asking!  UVEC isn’t only the offical UVic eng competition but also a qualifier round for Canadian Engineering competitions.  Regionals (Western Engineering Competition [WEC]) pits western engineering schools (Manitoba and West) against each other to prove which school has the most skills!  Get top place in UVEC, you’ll win a trip to compete against other Western schools!

After WEC, there’s the National round (Canadian Engineering Competition [CEC]).  The four blocks of Canadian engineering schools pit their best students against each other to prove that west is indeed best.  Make top placement in UVEC and WEC, you’ll go on to face students from the Atlantic, Ontario, and Quebec.
